Synopsis



A couple of villagers, victims of famine following bushfires and drought, decide to settle in town with an uncle. In the city, Moussa, the husband, works as a street vendor, which leads him into trouble with the police. Amy, the pregnant wife has a difficult delivery. Once again, the couple is faced with difficulties. Especially since the doctor advises them not to get pregnant again. Faithful to their tradition, Amy and Moussa refuse to use the modern contraceptive methods proposed by the doctor and prefer the old methods. But here it is, five months later, Amy discovers that she is expecting a child. The doctor offers the couple an abortion to save her from certain death, but the couple refuses... When the time comes to term, Amy barely escapes death but loses her baby...
