Ramata

Synopsis



Ramata, in her fifties, is a woman of bewitching beauty. She has been married for about thirty years to Matar-Samb, a wealthy man of her state, a former prosecutor who became Minister of Justice. They live in Almadies, a very wealthy part of Dakar. Ngor Ndong is twenty-five years old. He is young, strong, mysterious and homeless. He's an occasional petty thief, known to the police. One evening, at random from a taxi driven by Ngor Ndong, she agreed to follow this young man twenty-five years younger than him to Copacabana. Defying the honour and reputation of his family, RAMATA discovered, at 50, the love and pleasure of the flesh in the arms of a young thief 25 years his junior. From then on, his quiet and supposedly happy life in the upper middle class of Dakar changed... But who is this young man really? Did it happen by chance in RAMATA's life?
