Tiefing

Synopsis



Tiefing Diarra is a straight man. He is feared and respected by all because of his knowledge of the occult sciences. Her daughter, Depté, was raped by her boss's husband and she is pregnant. She drowns the child in the Niger River and is incarcerated for homicide. Tiéfing tracks down all those who are directly or indirectly involved in this story. Depté, liberated, returned to the village, but everyone disapproved of her. While Depté and his mother were preparing their escape, to avoid his father's wrath, his father, in the forest of his ancestors, passed on his occult powers to his first son. Tragedy will thus be prevented thanks to him. This feature film tells the daily drama of young girls' lives and pays particular attention to the status of women.
